When you use the text comparison feature, all text processing occurs locally in your browser. We do not collect, transmit, or store any text you enter for comparison.
If you use the Share feature, the compared text is temporarily uploaded to our server. This data is stored only for the expiration period you select and is automatically deleted afterward.

Like most websites, we may collect basic technical information such as:

- Referring URL
- Pages visited and time spent
- IP address (anonymized where possible)

We use the automatically collected information solely for the following purposes:

Text comparison data: Processed entirely in your browser. No text data is sent to our servers during normal use.
Shared comparisons: Stored on Cloudflare's global network with the expiration period you choose. Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect the information we handle. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
TextCompare.me uses browser local storage to save your preferences (such as theme selection, language preference, and editor options). We do not use tracking cookies. If third-party analytics services are used, they may set their own cookies subject to their respective privacy policies.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party services for hosting (Vercel), data storage (Cloudflare), and analytics. These services have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties.
